The trail is moderately light but strenuous and requires excellent physical fitness. Not recommended for beginners.
This tour start from Veles train station and after an hour (4 km) we arrive at the village of S’lp which has 5 inhabitants. From S’lp by road we continue 2. 5 hours (8 km) to Karabunishte known for having only three young residents (husband, wife and daughter) who decide to move out of Skopje and move to Karabunishte where raised sheep and goats.
From Karabunishte we follow a narrow path for about 40 minutes to the attractive monastery of St. Ilija which is abundant with forest and water. From there we continue via Pchinja station to the cave church of St. Bogorodica and crossing the river Pchinja by a hanging bridge, we reach the highway and through it to St. Jovan Veterski.
Here we take a coffee break with the hosts. After 30 minutes we continue for an hour to the village of Veteransko (4 inhabitants) recognizable by the wind blowing almost constantly.
The trail abounds with water. There is water in 5 places and a minimum of 1 liter of water is sufficient from the start.
