We pick you up from Gostivar and transfer to National Park Mavrovo. There we will hike up to the highest Macedonian peak – Korab, exploring the natural wilderness of the National Park. Overnight by Lake Mavrovo. On the second day we will visit the village of Galicnik, with an optional hike to peak Medenica.
On the first day of this hiking adventure in National Park Mavrovo, we will hike up to the tallest peak in all of Macedonia – Korab (2,764m asl). Along the hike you will see the pristine natural wilderness of Mount Shar.
On the second day you will get a chance to visit a traditional sheepfold, taste the local cheese and learn from the Sheppard how it’s made. Then we will visit the picturesque village of Galicnik, meet the locals and hear about the centuries old custom ceremony – the Galicnik wedding. Afterwards, there is an option to hike up the slopes of mount Bistra to peak Medenica (2.250 m.asl).
