One of the attractions in Madeira is also Dolphin and Whales watching. Throughout the year in Madeira coast you can see 28 different species of cetaceans. All year round the dolphins are more present, but in some specific period you can see whales also.
We took the tour from Rota dos Cetáceos and we had really good time watching some of these lovely creatures. The tour starts in the Marina Shopping Mall in the company HQ, where we had briefing on safety and experts presentation of what we expect to see and the variety of sea life in the area of Madeira Island. From there it took few minutes to get to the main Marina and board on one of the boats.
During the tour the skipper is communicating with spotters on the mainland, who are monitoring the ocean. That is how in this ride you will always have the experience to see the dolphins closely.

On the way back we had chance to enjoy the landscapes of the island from the ocean. Peaceful ride back to the Marina passing by the shore of Quinta Grande and Câmara De Lobos.
